What You Will Do
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for architecting year-on-year sales and marketing strategy for the zone, including sales plans (Area-wise/district-wise/taluka wise), milestones and budgets.
- Lead a team of Area Managers, Territory Managers, and customer success teams and hold the responsibility for achieving the sales targets, collection, and market penetration targets for the assigned zones.
- The Zonal Manager will also be responsible for organizational efficiency to optimize sales and revenue generation thereby maximizing profitability.
- Enhancing relationship Value with existing customers on a regular basis and creating opportunities for further sales to existing customers.
- Define sales targets, track performance, and revise strategy to deliver on goals
- Establish and implement processes for the systematic approach for the sales team.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams by providing market feedback, and product feedback to continuously improve the solution.
- Create and evaluate promotional plans to drive demand and product awareness
- Devise and communicate different incentive and reward programs from time to time to boost morale and sales
- Represent the Business in external forums and associations, as required in the zones
- Mentor the team to achieve the planned targets and provide support for professional and individual development
Skills & Experience
- MBA / PGDM / ABM from a reputed Institute is good to have, but not mandatory.
- 8-10 years of experience in agribusiness marketing & sales, preferably in hi-tech horticulture.
- 3-5 years of experience in Rajasthan/Gujarat.
- Ability to build and set up the entire marketing and sales team and proven track record for doing the same.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (mandatory) with an aptitude for building relationships with professionals at all organizational levels.
- The inclination to use technology as a tool for all service offerings.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and constantly growing environment.
- Experience in sales and marketing of high-tech horticulture products in a direct to farmer scenario is critical.
- Folks from controlled cultivation (green-house/net-house/shade net industry), micro-irrigation (drip-irrigation/sprinkler irrigation, etc), fertigation systems, horticulture implements
